{"id":27747,"date":"2023-12-27T11:52:33","date_gmt":"2023-12-27T11:52:33","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.itilite.com\/?post_type=docs&amp;p=27747"},"modified":"2023-12-27T11:52:33","modified_gmt":"2023-12-27T11:52:33","password":"","slug":"how-to-link-the-advance-of-an-employee-to-their-expense-2","status":"publish","type":"docs","link":"https:\/\/www.itilite.com\/in\/help-center\/how-to-link-the-advance-of-an-employee-to-their-expense-2\/","title":{"rendered":"How to link the advance of an employee to their expense?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The option of linking an advance to an&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.itilite.com\/expense-management\/\">expense<\/a>&nbsp;is only available to the finance department (tagged as finance or super admin in the expense tool) and the individual users do not have the access to do so.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Please note: Our system identifies users through their mail ids, and using this the system will be able to show all expenses (with an outstanding advance) from a particular mail id to the client finance team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Finance has to undergo the following steps for linking advances to the expenses:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 1: Go to the the Payouts tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.itilite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/SC1-1024x472.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27754\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 2: Refer to the apply advances tab.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 3: Click on link advances (the tab is available beside the report id)<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.itilite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/SC1.1-1024x473.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27758\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 4: Click on the advance you want to link with the expense.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Step 5: Click on apply advances.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.itilite.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/12\/SC1.2-1024x472.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-27759\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Doing this will associate an advance to an expense and the report id will start showing in the payments queue.
